Company Description
The Daventry laboratory is an important part of the Bodycote Materials Engineering Division, with sister laboratories in Lancaster and Newcastle. Collectively, the Division is one of the largest providers of fatigue, fracture toughness and high temperature testing in Europe. Clients span the UK, Europe, North America and the rest of the world.
The laboratory provides a comprehensive range of mechanical tests, both static and dynamic. These include but are not limited to:-
Structural, component testing
Fatigue,
Pressure testing,
Fracture toughness (K1C, J1C, crack propagation),
Potential drop,
Acoustic emission,
Bolts, fasteners, reinforcing bars,
Small scale pipe straining simulation tests and pipe service simulation tests.
History:
The laboratory has been operating for 35 years, and has an excellent reputation in the specialist testing market, being acquired by the Bodycote Group in 1989.
Its origins are with the aerospace and offshore markets, but the laboratory now serves a much wider field, including medical and civil engineering.
