Safety Closure System
For almost two decades, Composite Resources has designed, engineered, developed and manufactured custom and stock components and products fabricated from composites for a wide range of industrial applications. One of these "off the shelf" products constructed of composites is the GraviGate™, a safety gate constructed of strong reinforced fiberglass. GraviGate™ safety gates are designed and produced to meet the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Standard 1910.23a.
GraviGate™ safety gates were developed to help prevent falls at floor openings, stairways, and ladder ways. Constructed and manufactured using corrosion proof hardware and composite tubing, GraviGate™ safety gates are available in both standard and custom sizes. Features of GraviGate™ safety gates include:
- Self Lubricating

All GraviGate™ safety gates are offered in either right-hand or left-hand swing out configurations, and are available with round bar or angle bar adapters. A stainless steel catch stop plate accessory is also available if you would like the gate to swing in one direction only.
Standard size GraviGate™ gates are in stock and can be shipped in 1 to 2 days. In addition, Composite Resources has the capability to produce GraviGate™ gates in custom sizes to fit your unique size requirements. When determining if a standard or custom GraviGate™ is needed, subtract 2 inches from the opening width – this will give you the gate size required.
