CM-2500C Spectrophotometer
The CM-2500c handheld spectrophotometer is a high-accuracy color measuring instrument which is easily operated with one hand. The light-weight design (just 670g) is perfectly suited for any application in the laboratory, plant, or field. Taking measurements horizontally or vertically is both easy and fatigue-free. The compact size and easy-to-align opening allows you to measure samples of any shape or size.
The CM-2500c is best suited for color measurement of samples such as automotive interior parts, coil coatings, plastics, paint, packaging, and raw materials. The color of any uneven surfaces can be easily measured using this device since it has an innovative optical system. The CM-2500c incorporates 45/0 geometry optics, 360-740 nm wavelength range, and 10 nm resolution. Its optical design assures maximum reproducibility and stability of measurement during use. It also minimizes data fluctuation during repeated color measurements and improves the accuracy of the output.
It’s exclusive “navigation wheel” and one-press measuring button are situated right where your hand fits the device. The navigation wheel easily guides you through all the menu operations. It is used like a PC mouse, moving it forward or backward to scroll through the selections and pressing it down to click on the selection. The large LCD display shows data graphically or numerically such as facts about your colors via pass/fail displays, color graphs and data display, spectral graphs, and absolute and color difference. The internal software contains all necessary colorimetric equations and standard light sources to complete your tasks as well as numerous industry and application-specific indices.
The internal software communicates in six languages: English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, and Japanese. And, it reminds you of when it is time for a factory re-calibration to ensure traceability to ISO 9000 recommendations.
The CM-2500c can be powered by batteries for complete portability or it can be connected to an AC adapter. Optional SpectraMagictm NX color data software is a complete quality control and color management system, which allows you to configure the graphic and numerical layout according to your needs. The software performs evaluations from ultra-simple pass/fail assessments to more sophisticated analysis with spectral, color, and trend graphs. It can also assist you in improving color communication with your customer and suppliers by allowing you to insert digital pictures in printed reports.
CM-2500D Handheld Spectrophotometer
The CM-2500d portable spectrophotometer features a bright viewfinder, easy-to-carry body, and is ergonomically designed to fit your hand while taking measurements from many different angles, providing the most accurate readings quickly — less than 2 seconds.
It features user-friendly controls with only 2 buttons: one to measure and a “navigation wheel” to scroll and select operations on the LCD screen. The large screen displays data graphically or numerically, showing you all the facts at a glance. Pass/Fail indications, colorimetric data with descriptive color difference, or L*a*b* color graph with box or elliptical tolerances can be viewed at any time.
The screen also has a display reversing function so it can be read in any direction. The internal software communicates in six languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, and Japanese. It has an illuminated viewer, to make measuring even easier. With one touch, and even on dark samples, the brightly illuminated LED allows comfortable and true sample viewing.
The CM-2500d combines comfort and simplicity of use with the patented Innovation Optical System to meet the highest standards for color measurement in nearly every Quality Assurance application. Numerical gloss control and numerical UV control are built into a d/8 sphere. The numerical gloss control provides simultaneous data with specular component included (SCI) and excluded (SCE). Both measurement results can be displayed at any time on the LCD display. The advantage of this feature lies in its superior optical results as well as the absence of any moving parts, making the instrument rugged enough for portable applications.
This instrument is compatible with SpectraMagic NX software which is easy-to-use and displays multiple views of data results which can be edited. Target data of the primary target can be associated to two or more secondary targets, allowing for sophisticated QC applications, such as checking for color difference.
Users can drag-and-drop information into the software for easy interpretation after printing. A variety of graphs can be used to display information, preconfigured templates are available, and a status window is available to show instrument information at a glance. Data compiled with older software is compatible and can be transferred to the newest updated software. If Excel is needed to show data, the information can also be easily exported. A Navigation Function and Color Tutorial are included with the software for additional information.
CM-2600d Handheld Spectrophotometer
The CM-2600d portable spectrophotometer features a bright viewfinder, easy-to-carry body, and two easily interchangeable measurement apertures (3mm and 8mm). The CM-2600d is the world’s first portable instrument to offer the patented numerical UV-control. This technology drastically reduces calibration and measurement procedure time when measuring products treated with optical brighteners such as textiles, papers, and detergents. The numerical UV-control technology uses two xenon flashes (one including and one excluding UV) and special mathematics so both can be displayed on the screen.

CM-512M3A Multi-Angle Spectrophotometer
The CM-512m3a is a multi-angle spectrophotometer designed specifically for metallic and pearlescent coatings. Because these coatings change color according to the angles at which they are illuminated and viewed, they are difficult to measure accurately with conventional spectrophotometers. The unique geometry of the CM-512m3a instrument provides a precise, objective method of evaluating and controlling special effects colors throughout the manufacturing process.
The CM-512m3a determines the color difference between highlight and shade colors, and if the shimmer effect in the metallic and pearlescent is meeting manufacturer standards. Regardless of instrument orientation (rotation), the sample is simultaneously illuminated at three angles with eighteen illumination points for each angle. This illumination system creates cones of light at 25°, 45°, and 75°, with the reflected light detected perpendicular to the surface. This keeps the difference between measurements at the same point minimal even if the CM-512m3a is rotated. The bigger the difference in lightness between these angles, the more accentuated the product or object will appear.
The CM-512m3a is compatible with SpectraMagic NX software for color quality control. This software displays data for all three illumination angles simultaneously, as well as line graphs to show the per-angle characteristics specific to multi-angle measurements.
CM-700D/600D Spectrophotometer
The CM-700d/600d spectrophotometer effectively measures the color of an object using a range of user-friendly functions. The handheld instrument is ergonomically designed to fit your hand comfortably and features a color LCD screen. Abundant information is displayed on the screen such as spectral graphs, pseudocolor, and color difference graphs.
Measured colors can also be reproduced as color patches on the screen. This is useful in for checking the level of color difference or to search for colors. The CM-700d/600d is easy to use with dedicated buttons for frequently-used operations such as call up menus or target colors. The menu-driven display allows anyone to operate the unit intuitively.
This instrument is portable and Bluetooth compatible, so all information can be communicated wirelessly to a PC or printer. The unit also contains a large memory capacity, which has the ability to store 1,000 sets of target data and 4,000 sets of measurement data.

CA-SA Skin Analysis Software
The CA-SA skin analysis software works in combination with Konica Minolta spectrophotometers to measure the color of skin simultaneously with a numerical display of the Melanin Index, Hemoglobin (Hb) Index, and Hemoglobin oxygen saturation (Hb SO2) Index. When used with our CM-700D/CM-600D spectrophotometer, measurements can be performed simply by applying the instrument lightly to the subject’s skin and pressing a button.
This software is extremely useful in the field of skin research and development due to the increasing demand for these measurements. For example, such measurements are utilized in matching cosmetics and measuring sun tanning effects on skin to prevent damage. This instrument and software combination is ideal for taking highly-accurate readings of melanin pigmentation without it being affected by the skin’s redness.
Data can easily be grouped by examinee; simply preset the number of measurements that are needed per person. Once that number is reached, it begins grouping the next set for the following examinee. Data can be output in CSV text format for further analysis or management using Excel or another spreadsheet program.
