Video: Wimmer FT200 cut-off machine for long parts
All parts in contact with the coolant are either in stainless steel (water tank) or induction hardened with rust protection (clamping device).
The water tank is in the machine base and can be pulled out. A strong immersion pump ensures that there is always enough coolant ah the cutting point. The machine can be operated with emulsion or cutting oil.
The cut-off machine has a powerful coolant supply allowing good rincing and cooling of the disc and the work piece. If you cut off induction hardened work piece (hard on the surface, soft inside), you may experience a rapid wear of the cut-off disc!
The work piece support is screwed onto the floor independently of the transport rolls. The transport rolls can therefore be adapted to the work piece. An other advantage oh this system is also that the work piece is clamped in a manner allowing a high precision and narrow tolerances of the cut-off parts, even is series.
