Surface Treated Fasteners
Socket Head Cap Screws with special surface treatment including Molybdenum, Teflon, Gold, and Electroless Nickel plating, as well as Raydent and Antibacterial Treatment are available in sizes M3-M10. Special surface treatment enables a low coefficient of friction and prevents screw burnouts and biting. Selection of the surface treatment should be made according to the usage conditions. Surface treatment for screws not found in this section can be requested on an individual basis.
SNS-EL - Socket Head Cap Screw (Electroless Nickel Plating)
- Socket Head Cap Screw with Electroless Nickel Plating
- Through a distinctive treatment technique, concern for the hydrogen embrittlement of high-strength Socket Head Cap Screws is extremely low.
- Appropriate for machinery and tools which require a strength classification of 12.9 and cannot use rust prevention oil.

SNSS-RY - Socket Head Cap Screw (Raydent Treatment)
- Socket Head Cap Screw with Raydent Treatment. Excellent resistance against corrosion, chemicals, abrasions.
- May be used in rough and medium vacuums, in a clean room, or with FPD (Flat Panel Display) and semiconductor production equipment and devices.
- Excellent lubricity. Appropriate for preventing screw burnouts and biting.
- Spectral Reflectivity is below 1.5%. For use with optics machinery and tools which necessitate reflection prevention.

SNSS-MO - Socket Head Cap Screw (Molybdenum Sulfate Coating)
- Socket Head Cap Screw with Molybdenum Disulfide Coating. Excellent resistance against corrosion and abrasions.
- Excellent lubricity. Appropriate for preventing screw burnouts and biting. Assists in prevention of problems that occur during construction and analysis of machinery, tools, and devices.

SNSS-TF - Socket Head Cap Screw (Teflon Coating)
- Socket Head Cap Screw with Teflon Coating. Excellent resistance against heat and chemicals.
- May be used with chemical resistant applications such as FPD (Flat Panel Display) and semiconductor production equipment and devices, printed circuit board etching devices, metallic surface treatment equipment and facilities, and chemical plant facilities.
- Excellent lubricity. Appropriate for preventing screw burnouts and seizing. Assists in prevention of problems that occur during construction and analysis of machinery, tools, and devices.
