We manufacture our welding/fire blanket. It is a fibre punched product which we manufacture 2 meters wide.
We introduced it initially for the auto motive industry but have found it useful in the mining industry, heavy welding industry, shipping industry and maintenance protection covers..
Mining industry-it is used above the rubber conveyer belts to protect the rubber belts from hot molten splatter, grinding sparks and welding sparks.
Heavy duty welding industry- it provides the metal to cool down at a much slower rate..
Shipping industry-exhaust covers to prevent the crew from burning themselves against the red hot pipes.
Maintenance protection covers- used on wooden scaffolding at the oil refinery in Cape Town, covers protect substations, generators, cover expensive machinery when welding takes place around and above these expensive pieces of equipment to protect from grinding sparks and welding splatter.
The product is re-usable.
