LPG INDUSTRY: MARECHAL PROTECTS THE RUBIS PLANT

Settled in Antwerp and specialised in the LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) industry, RUBIS has made the choice to equip its tank terminal with these ATEX plugs, supplied by EAV. This terminal operates a bulk liquid storage facility for petroleum
products, chemicals, foodstuffs and distributes LPG.
Because of permanent injuries risk in LPG industries, there are more health and safety requirements in harsh environments. MARECHAL® DECONTACTOR™ plugs and socketoutlets comply with ATEX Directives 94/9/CE and 99/92/CE required for these areas. Thanks to their explosion proof casings and their “de” protection mode, they can apply in
explosive atmospheres in zones 1 & 2 (gas) and zones 21 & 22 (dust).
3 imperatives should be daily respected:
- Permanent electrical supply in rough situation,
- Safety of workers in case of disconnection or intervention on the machine,
- Rapidity of intervention.
Compliance with ATEX Directives
Choosing MARECHAL ELECTRIC is the insurance to have certified and available ATEX solutions to these main requirements: DXN1 and DXN6 material. The DX ranges aim at functioning in explosive atmospheres and protecting installation against inflammation or explosion due to the environment (gas, dust, particles in the air…). These products are in compliance with the CEI and ATEX directives. Added to the CE marking, the indications on the product guarantee to the customer that our ATEXplugs are certified and adapted to his needs (type of material, atmospheres, protection, standards,
certificate number).
Safety and durability

- Protection for the user and the equipment: only one action to disconnect the system without danger (lack of arcing)
