MECO Shaft Seals To Be Exhibited At Chicago Powder Show

MECO shaft seals for rotating dry bulk process equipment will be exhibited in booth number 2630 at the International Powder & Bulk Solids Expo at PTXi in Rosemont, IL on 4-6 May, 2010.
Processors seeking effective alternatives to o rings, packed glands and static seals will find that MECO has continued to innovate and expand the capabilities of its custom-engineered shaft seals. Capabilities include:
- Service in potentially explosive atmospheres.
- Speeds to 1000 surface feet per minute on dry-running shafts.
- Holding vacuum in dryers, despite axial movement and thermal shaft growth.
- Sanitary seals which can be removed completely, sanitized and replaced, or for CIP systems.
New at PTXi this year is MECO's “HB” model seal for standard-sized screw conveyors and similar equipment. HB seals apply MECO's famous custom sealing technology to a new generation of high-performing seals, in 16 stock sizes with quick conversions to non-stock sizes. The HB model seal is designed to work on most every application parameter associated with typical screw conveyors or scrolls.
