New heating pump assembly PrimoTherm from AFRISO keeps deposits away from biomass heating boilers

The new AFRISO PrimoTherm 180-3 heating pump assembly can be used as a boiler pump for biomass heating boilers. The pump transports the energy generated in the boiler to the buffer. In addition, the heating pump assembly features a thermal mixing valve to keep the return temperature high. The mixing valve ensures that the boiler temperature does not fall below the set temperature and is always above the condensation point, regardless of the operating state of the boiler and the temperature of the return from the buffer.
The new AFRISO PrimoTherm 180-3 heating pump assembly can be used as a boiler pump for biomass heating boilers. The pump transports the energy generated in the boiler to the buffer. In addition, the heating pump assembly features a thermal mixing valve to keep the return temperature high. The mixing valve ensures that the boiler temperature does not fall below the set temperature and is always above the condensation point, regardless of the operating state of the boiler and the temperature of the return from the buffer. This function helps to avoid deposits and corrosion in the heating boiler as well as deposits in the smoke vent which might ultimately lead to chimney fires caused by soot. For this reason, the boiler manufacturer usually requires the use of a return temperature increase.
The modular assembly is available with different opening temperatures (45 °C, 55 °C or 60 °C), with or without circulation pump (energy efficiency class A) and in two sizes DN 25 to 32 kW and DN 32 to 93 kW nominal boiler capacity. The heating pump assembly is completely pre-assembled and tightness-tested and is equipped with all required function parts, a form-fit polypropylene heat insulation and a wall-mounting unit. The heating pump assembly can be mounted in any position (vertically or horizontally). The gravity brake integrated in the ball valve helps to avoid incorrect circulation. The narrow design allows several pump assemblies to be mounted next to each other on a boiler manifold. For OEMs, PrimoTherm 180-3 can also be manufactured to special requirements, for example with other opening temperatures or other circulation pumps.
