10 Years of Key Accounts Management and Still Growing

For the past 10 years Mr. Alan Will has been the Key Accounts Manager at AEC. Alan’s role is to ensure that major clients who either rent their forklifts from AEC or major clients who use AEC for servicing and repairs of their own forklifts receive the best possible service. The job involves extensive travelling throughout SA and other African countries. It also means that at any given time Alan and his team of product support staff and technicians are responsible for the well being of over 400 forklift trucks every day of the year.

With a strong technical background and extensive business skills Alan heads up the Key Accounts Division of AEC. This varies from submitting repair quotations, carrying out forklift inspections, quality control and training of both the sales and technical staff that are all part of the Key Accounts Function.

Alan says: “Even though the customer may be a big name company with a large fleet of forklifts they still prefer to have one point of contact when it comes to dealing with a supplier. No one likes to be passed from one department to another in order to get satisfaction and at my company the buck stops with me. I am accountable and responsible for everything related to the forklifts on my customer’s sites”
