Matsuo MQT thermostats provide reliable, long-term frost protection of boiler condensate pipes in extreme weather conditions. UK winters are becoming more severe and condensate freezing is becoming a major problem. Just when you need it most, the boiler shuts down due to the condensate freezing in the outlet pipe. This can be permanently solved using a suitable trace heater assembly fitted with an integral Matsuo MQT thermostat. Matsuo thermostats are simple to integrate and give 10 times the life of disc thermostats. They can be calibrated down to -10°C with a differential (hysteresis) down to 3K. Thus the MQT provides long-term frost protection with minimal energy use.
