New DC Motor with Analog Tachometer

New DC Motor with Analog Tachometer

Product News Monday, April 23, 2012: Midwest Motion Products

Midwest Motion Products, Inc. of Watertown, Minnesota, is pleased to announce the release of a new DC Motor, with integral Analog Tachometer, the Model No. MMP D22-376F-24V T-03-C. Accepting any 24 Volt DC source, this compact Motor measures just 2.24” in Diameter, by 5.4” long, including the 3.0V/Krpm analog tach. The output shaft is 0.3150” diameter by 1.18 Inches long. Easy mounting is accomplished with 4 through holes, measuring 0.19”, equally spaced on a 3.15” Dia. B.C. on an aluminum flange measuring 2.56” Square.

The output of this reversible motor is rated for 25 Oz In. Continuous torque, at 2800 RPM, with a peak torque of 150 Oz In. Despite its compact size, and weight of approximately 3 pounds, it’s an efficient design, requiring just 2.4 Amps at 24 Volts DC to generate its Full Load Torque. That translates into long life battery charge, very low noise operation, and lower costs for related drive electronics. The analog tach features an output of 3.0 Volts DC, per 1000 RPM of rotation, with a maximum ripple of just 3%.

This unique design is rated at an “IP 54” protection level for operation in harsh environments. Variable Speed control can be accomplished with our fully compatible Controls, the Model MMP 815-BR PWM Servo Amplifier

Samples are available FROM STOCK for rapid prototyping needs.

Typical options available from the company include Servo Motors with integral Optical Encoders, Failsafe Brakes, and a variety of Planetary Gearheads, with standard ratios ranging from 3:1 to 2653:1, and standard or low backlash precision gearing available. Motor Winding Options include 12V, 24V, 28V, 48V, 60V and 90 Volts DC.

The company offers a variety of standard ancillary equipment including DC power supplies, DC Servomotors, PWM Servo Amplifiers, Motor Speed Controls, Linear Actuators and a wide variety of DC gear-motors. Custom Motor Shaft and mounting configurations are also available. Typical applications include Solar Tracking, Battery Operated Motors & E.V. drives, Medical, Mobility / Accessibility products, Robotics & Automation including (Military) Unmanned Guided Vehicles, Semiconductor Processing Equipment, Actuators, Packaging & Labeling Machines, Woodworking & Metalworking Machines, Dynamic Displays for Tradeshows and many other applications requiring precise motion control.
