In December 2011, Degrémont South Africa won a second contract for Nooitgedagt Water Treatment Plant in Nelson Mandela Bay Metro (Port Elizabeth). The original plant was built by Degrémont in 1992.

 

A few years ago, Degrémont had supplied equipment for a new Pulsator, with an additional settling tank allowing a global flow of up to 95 Ml/d.

 

This second contract is for equipping Pulsator No 4 with Mechanical and Electrical Equipment and Lamellas and Commissioning of the Pulsator.

 

The existing plant consists of Degrémont’s type V-Filters and 4 x 35 Ml/day Pulsators.

 

The plant handover took place in September 2012.
