MARECHAL ELECTRIC announced on 20th June 2013 that TECHNOR ITALSMEA S.p.A, the specialist manufacturer of hazardous area products and its sales organizations in Dubai/Middle East (TECHNOR ME) and Singapore (TECHNOR Asia Pacific), had joined the MARECHAL ELECTRIC GROUP of companies (MEG).

 

MEG, a worldwide leader for the past 60 years in the field of electrical connectors, is particularly known for its innovative industrial and hazardous area DECONTACTOR™ products that provide high levels of performance and safety to the user. As a specialist connector manufacturer MARECHAL ELECTRIC designs and markets its product range to many industrial sectors and in particular to the Oil & Gas sector worldwide. Technically competent and financially strong, MEG is a privately-owned group with headquarters in St Maurice, France. Its global year-on-year sales growth is +11% supported by substantial annual R&D investment.

 

Since 1969 Italsmea, now TECHNOR ITALSMEA is leader in the design and manufacture of luminaires, enclosures and electrical panels for potentially explosive atmospheres. These include offshore oil installations, refineries, petrochemical plants, ships and FPSOs, chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries, and as well as other industries in which explosible dusts might represent a hazard, such as foodstuffs manufacture grain silos and textile. The products satisfy ATEX regulations and IECEx requirements. TECHNOR ITALSMEA’s product range and geographic locations nicely complement those of the MEG providing significant product and distribution channel synergies.

 

As part of a long term corporate strategy, the coming together of the three strong brand names of MARECHAL®, TECHNOR and ITALSMEA will further increase the Group’s product portfolio and its ability to meet diverse customer needs throughout the globe. The new Group turnover will reach €100m and over in 2013 with 440 employees.
