Chemical Analysis
Chemical analysis is the process of investigating the chemical composition of material or solution. A chemical analysis of a compound will be done to determine the individual components, their concentrations, and the properties of the compound. For example, the owner of a pool may perform a chemical analysis to determine if chlorine needs to be added. Likewise, scientists may perform a chemical analysis on a lake or river to determine levels of pollutants and determine the health of the ecosystem and the safety of the water.
